Présentation :

JESSIKA KENNEY & EYVIND KANG ▲ a film by Vincent Moon recorded in june 2022 in the Père Lachaise, Paris "It was Jessika, if I remember correctly, who had the desire to play by the 'Mur des Fédérés', this famous and tragical wall where many died during the Paris Commune in 1871. One of those most special corner of Parisians échappées - filled with silences, birds, and memories. Eyvind and Jessika invited the writer Pacôme Thiellement to join, and jump in the recording with an opening poem by Louise Michel. It sets the tone to an intense dive into shruti, violin and voice contemplation, all floating amongst the spirits of yesterday's revolutions and today's fights. May we keep the spirits highs in dark times - "free under the blazing sky" said Louise..." Music by Jessika Kenney & Eyvind Kang / Filmed & recorded by Vincent Moon « When the crowd today mute Like the ocean will rumble She will be ready to die The Commune will rise We will return crowd without number We will come by all paths Vengeful spectres emerging from the shadow We will come clasping our hands Death will carry the banner The black flag fabric of blood And purple will bloom the earth Free under the blazing sky » Prison Song, May 71 / Poem by Louise Michel / Read by Pacome Thiellement
